hiding behind the sofa

This November marks a host of celebrations for sixty years of our favourite Time Lord adventuring through time and space, and on our TV screens. However, when you mention Doctor Who to some, the first thing they think of is hiding behind the sofa. For some, it was the Daleks; for others, it was the Cybermen. Some thought the theme music was scary enough to send them scuttling off to peer at the screen from the safety of the living room sofa.

Doctor Who has undoubtedly had some scary moments in its past, with some terrifying villains - from sinister robots, mummies looming out of the shadows, or haemavores coming out of the sea.

But you had nothing to fear - the Doctor was always there to save the day and the planet!

For us, the scariest thing was the Master in The Deadly Assassin, but once again, the Fourth Doctor foiled his plans and saved Gallifrey, so we really had nothing to worry about.

What scary moment do you remember from the past sixty years of adventure?
